@feoh @jimsalter Most Ecoflow stuff isn't UPS grade - it's EPS at best. Their newest stuff is UPS grade but their UPS app has been done since September and their HID interface outputs nonsense so who knows 8)Some of their small battery/solar kit is (was ?) nice.

@etchedpixels @feoh I've been quite pleased with the Anker Solix line. It doesn't have support for NUT yet, but it's reasonably priced, high quality, the sine output looks great on an oscilloscope, and the switchover is plenty fast enough to keep my gear oblivious that anything ever happened to the power at all.

@jimsalter @feoh I did look at them recently, but a 7kWh 24v Fogstar, a small inverter and some other oddments (most of which I had to hand) comes in a lot cheaper and gives me a lot longer coverage for a lot lot less.

@etchedpixels @feoh I can pick up a Solix C300 for under $250 (sometimes under $200) and get triple the runtime of a conventional UPS in the same price range, and I buy a LOT of UPSes--not just for my own equipment, but for clients. There's only so "bespoke" I can reasonably get.

@jimsalter @etchedpixels @feoh Anker Solix isn't available in Australia. I know you have issues with Bluetti but they are available and have excellent support here. For the price, the fan noise can be dealt with a better designed installation environment. FWIW, I just picked up an AC180 because my Cyberpower dropped another battery pack.

@Tubsta @etchedpixels @feoh I'm not mad at you or anybody for buying what's available, or for that matter just plain what you like.My mission is to thoroughly test and describe things, for good or for bad, not to either prevent or force their sale. :)
