       @vitalis nah, its fine as long as both sides are aware and holding back.if they went full speed-full force fingers and ribs would break and maybe even the occasional neck, but ive never killed my brother and hes never killed me and we didnt even have helmets, just leather gloves

       @vitalis having gone in rapier from full sleeves padded jacket etc. etc. to mask+gorget+*usually*gloves - and people who err on the side of acknowledging hits so no one ever feels the need to make an unequivocally perceptible *thwack* - i have to say i found the latter vastly more enjoyablei'd personally much rather have at least some collarbone padding for longsword though... are they even wearing any throat protection? :blobcatsweat:
