@spencer Well, they have blocked and suspended cases in the past out of nothing so there is not much trustI do use it for the smaller instances since those aren't really a "threat" but ive come to notice that mstdn can be I guess! (Russia & China)So to be safe ill have it in a uh.. more "ethical" place 😉

@stux @spencer That’s interesting! I am more aware of them exercising their authority in a fashion that results in limited action of that type - like, end users being blocked or services themselves? I know they dumped 8ch@n and a few other super conservative outlets, and waffled endlessly on banning a conservative militia recruitment forum.

@stux @spencer I would like to know your solution.I have been generating a list of service providers outside US-jurisdiction. As you know, the future here (in the United States) is uncertain, and there is nothing wrong with being cautious. If you have a provider which is not US-based, that would be nice to know.

@stux @spencer I meant, your alternative to CloudFlare.(I don't recommend Hetzner. In 2024, they were removing Fedi sites that had any photo or drawing of women kissing, or men kissing.)
