Well that's nice. LibreOffice running in Windows just f***ed over 50% of the images in my #EverythingOpen presentation. So note to presenters: #LibreOffice Impress files are *NOT* portable across operating systems. If you're going to use another laptop to present, check it doesn't distort cropped images before presenting.

@OrionKidderMeh, not my first rodeo. It's redone already and I have backups etc.How do you get your notes/cue cards to come up with PDFs?

@vik Was it platform or version? Sincere question, not arguing with you.

@nitpickingPretty sure it's platform, based on having looked at similar bugs. Windows does interesting things if PNG files only supply dimensions along one axis for instance, and this has that feel - half the crop markers are missing. It'll have to wait until I get back to my laptop to be sure, and maybe file a new one, but the way the Windows libraries handle scaled images has resulted in a fair bit of image bug whack-a-mole.

@OrionKidderI've tried that. Even did it with a dead tree slice last year. In theory LibreOffice has a remote app, but that periodically stops displaying the notes so can't be trusted (Win 11, 24.8.4.2/V2.6.1/BT - no it's not the Bluetooth connection). The notes have a handy timer and slide preview, which are quite useful if you're playing fast and loose with the plot :)

@KathyReidNo worries. I'm the last boy scout, and my backups have backups. I mention it mostly 'cos it's a "gotcha" given the current venue's attitude to people's own laptops/PSUs and the possibility of someone having to swap platforms is non-zero...

@vik @KathyReid I had Affinity Photo outright destroy its own save files the other week, turns out if you quit while it's saving in the background it corrupts them. Easy to do when the files are multiple gigabytes.
