       @Hyperhidrosis @Goalkeeper I've said that they care less about good art rather than being known as good artists. They care about attention, recognition, and status and don't want an easy tool for beginners to make things of comparable qualityIt's an extremely selfish and self-centered perspective. It's another reason they care so much about being credited rather than just putting a signature on their art and letting interested people come naturally.They do not hate that corporations are copyrighting art and hoarding it, they just wish they were the ones in charge hoarding everything instead.

       @mute_city @Hyperhidrosis @Goalkeeper Tbh sometimes a piece needs a human touch but 9.9/10 AI will suffice. I use my drawing display or just Photoshop with something close to what I want from novelai. With the new training set it's almost perfect 100% od the time. When it's out of beta it will be a game changer for automated API image generation like @sothisai

       @graf @Hyperhidrosis @Goalkeeper @sothisai Are we talking about code or image generation?( "sothisai" friggn impressive - haven't seen it up until now) Because these are vastly different fields.As far as i could gather up until now current AI *SUCKS* at reasoning.I guess you know how much harder it is to validate someone elses code vs writing the thing from scratch.Time will tell if this will be able to produce anything above WOW aesthetics.        @graf @Hyperhidrosis @Goalkeeper @sothisai ( because i'm wasted) Lets assume AI plateaus at the slop level it currently is at ( it won't).I have little empathy for the people that are currently threatened by it.They were superfluous before, and now it's just more obvious to more people.But otoh, to even match it, takes years of training - that paints a pretty bleak picture for future generations.There are going to be so much more people going "why even bother" and THAT will be a loss for all of us, whether you care for fine art or not.
