       @infinimatt Having family from Pittsburgh I was deep into my 30s before I found out most people don't think "slippy" is a real word. (you know what it means? then it's a word. the end.)

       @Ruth_Mottram @infinimatt In Pittsburgh it means slippery, as in "it's slippy outside" meaning there is ice on everything.

       @futurebird @infinimatt In Dorset, on the walk from Lulworth Cove to Durdle Door, signage warning about slippy paths. They want to tell native speakers of the queen's crownical english that "slippy" isn't a word? (I have a better photo somewhere, but that was about 4 laptops ago)
