Technically you do this for the Shadow Temple as well since you have to get the lens of truth as a child, but in this dungeon you have to do both. It's pretty cool.

@SNEK @romin There's so many damn versions of the original OoT that made subtle changes you'd probably have to actually look up which the PC port is based on. It's probably a more "recent" one if the blood is there but not the Gerudo moon symbol or maybe the former was modded in directly.

@SNEK The Bombchu rooms in Majora's Mask were way worse. Literally by the very last puzzle room of the game, I ran out of Bombchus, failed the masking trading quest and had to fight the final boss without the Fierce Deity Mask.

This is probably the strangest decision in this game. An upgrade to the upgrade you received on the last Temple you beat. Technically you could've beat Shadow before you beat Spirit but hardly anyone does that.

@ChristiJunior @SNEK I dunno why but I had it easy in OoT with them 80% of the time and the other 20% they latched onto a grain of sand and turned 45 degrees. I still need to play MM but doing that on a timer and time-specific events sounds like something in need of checkpointing right before the puzzle at the very least

@dassauerkraut @s @SNEK they did port the code but they fucked up some stuff and added some stupid handholding QOL at places they shouldn't haveMM is such a masterpiece in that it's actually a legit sequel, and the difficulty follows. MM can be a tad brutal at times and it's all the better for it IMO
