as a livelong PC user, I've heard many claims about how the Amiga was better for gaming in every way... or so I thought. The AGDQ run of D/Generation was done on Amiga instead of the original DOS, because... it has less flashing than the DOS version! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwK7PTdZo10

AMIGA IS BETTER THAN PC BECAUSE IT IS LESS DANGEROUS TO PHOTOSENSITIVE EPILEPTICS

@foone That is quite legitimate if you happen to be a photosensitive epileptic

@foone I'm now thinking of how as kids, we used to do full screen color cycling in Paintshop Pro on our Amiga to turn the monitor into an improvised strobe light.

@foone I feel like there is an alternative timeline where Microsoft didn't get away with what they did to IBM and Apple didn't get away with what they did to Xerox and Atari didn't pivot from hardware to lawsuits and my phone is an Amiga and has a midi port.

@ozzelot certainly! I just never considered it might be a bullet point in the DOS vs Amiga wars

@foone The funny part is that that's likely BECAUSE of amiga having so much better color support than other computers at that time that it could do more subtle gradients and animations instead of harsh flashing. (though imho the thing that really set the amiga apart, much like the c64, is just straight up superior sound)
