@irie @Kyou homosexuality is looked down upon everywhere regardless of religion, tbh. china specifically denies the :gay_square: from Confucianism. it's only recently in liberal democracies that it's accepted even less so for it to be celebrated.japan doesnt even same-sex marriages, yaoi is mostly seen as a fetish thing

@moyi @irie @Kyou Apparently the same-sex marriage thing is changing in Japan. From what I saw, not because they want to allow gay marriage. But recent court cases seem to say it would violate the Japanese constitution to ban it.
