I began to revise the below in light of their very valid comments regarding extensions of this thinking that are necessary (propaganda models, theological considerations, etc.) but I decided to instead post my original first draft to give a 'raw' take on my thinking and let X pick it apart for merit or contradiction:There is a bunch of stuff that many people seem to think is incredibly important but, in the here and now, it is not really that critical.

Well, to me, it is just as plausible to assert that covid, as an actual virus, never existed. What existed was a bunch of shonky tests that spewed out false positives (remember the flu vanishing?) such that a propaganda model could be applied to the project of getting as much of the public as possible to accept poorly tested jabs and draconian (house arrest!) restrictions on their life and the economy (which is still reeling).

WW1 taught deeply entrenched lessons about the perils associated with certain weapons of mass destruction. And it is easy to see that a deployed, ostensibly air/aerosol-spread pathogen would have at least as many downsides as poison gas, at least as many risks to 'friendly' forces as the intended targets.

To me, it is simpler to stipulate that covid never existed and focus on the draconian crimes against humanity perpetrated by tyrannical governments worldwide. Deal with these governments, and you will deal with the issue of bioweapons, if any, too.

#2 The HolocaustI am seeing a lot of material on X these days attempting to rehabilitate Hitler and to rubbish the notion of a Holocaust of 6 million Jews.For me, even if one completely disproves the narrative of the systematic genocide of Jews in death camps, it changes nothing about Hitler as a leader or the Nazis as a political movement.

My great grandfather, whose name I was given, was not Jewish and was not a militant. Yet he and his wife, along with their two oldest daughters (my grandmother was young enough to be spared) were handed over by Vichy collaborators to the Nazis. They were taken and worked as slaves with my great grandfather perishing in the Sachsenhausen camp, along with so many others. My great grandmother and great aunts survived the war.

Thus if one utterly destroys the death camp/Jewish genocide narrative, it remains true that the Nazis took huge numbers of people as slaves to camps where they were worked to death. And that is enough for me.It is also clear that the Nazis undertook pogroms against Jews, enslaved many, and that large numbers of Jews were among the dead in the camps.

The accusation that the Holocaust has been inflated to give greater traction to certain agendas does nothing to take away the fact that the Nazis committed countless atrocities, including against my (non-Jewish) family members. Or to put it another way, if one subtracts the Holocaust narrative from an understanding of history, including my direct family history, one does not escape from the reality of Nazi evil.

So, is a debate about the Holocaust really that productive? Does it, for example, excuse the atrocities of Nazi factions in Ukraine against ethnic Russians in eastern Ukrainian since 2014?

There may well be a time and an opportunity to carefully consider the historical record and to come to a better understanding of the exact circumstances of what transpired in all of the camps in WW2 Europe, but what I am seeing now is that this debate is being primarily used to attempt to cast Hitler and his Nazi party in a positive light, something that I find utterly abhorrent and ahistorical.

Further, even if one proves that the numbers associated with the Holocaust are largely false, that the narrative has been used, for example, to assist with the establishment and solidification of the State of Israel, so what? Does the elimination of this narrative cause the Jewish state to vanish? Will it cause the Jews in Israel to cease fighting for their nation? Will it cause a significant realignment of the world order?Nope.

I have yet to see on X a nuanced position that acknowledges the evils perpetrated by the Nazis at the same time as any potential exaggerations thereof are carefully documented. All that I am seeing are Hitler good/Jews bad narratives that, I suspect, are very helpful for the Jewish mafias (and these exist, just as there are Italian mafias, etc.) in media, etc., which benefit from blanket stereotypes behind which they may hide.

#3 Jesus ChristThere is debate, especially in atheist circles, about the question of Jesus Christ's historical reality. Did he actually walk the earth? Was he actually performing miracles? Was he actually resurrected?It appears to me that God was very careful to bring Jesus into human awareness at a time before photographs, videos, etc.

Whatever the reality of Christ as a historical fixture, we are today forced to come to our own individual conclusions about His nature.For me, Jesus represents the most prefect example available to us in terms of how to understand our place in the universe, the nature of Good and Evil, and how we should comport ourselves as moral and ethical beings. My faith emerges from the perfection of what I have received, not in terms of a debate that can never be resolved.

I do not need an answer to the question of Christ's historical reality to feel the truth of His message. I do not need the Holocaust to conclude that Hitler and the Nazis were evil and that Israel can, should, and will continue to exist. And I do not need to argue about the origins of a virus (or not) to be able to focus on the atrocities of the jabs and the lockdowns (etc.).

@Andre The key has to be to focus on what actions can be meaningful and accomplish something vs which are just distractions. Examples - do I want to see Fauci, Clinton, Obama, Schiff, Cheney, etc. in jail - yes, certainly, but which is more important - that or the end of the FED and restoration of sound money? I'll take sound money for the rest my life and for the people I love and be happy knowing that even if we don't, God will take care of these characters all in good time...

@CarolEmmarie @Andre We just need to very carefully consider what is the most in our self-interest. I do think that some high profile figures need to do time in order to set an example and discourage future bad behavior, but I also think that we need to select objectives with the standard of value being making America a better and more just nation. With this said, we do need to put an end to people thinking of people like Obama as heroes and be sure the they realize what scum they truly are!!!
