       Hello everyone!We are fine-tuning the For You page so that it is meaningful to you, and it has the content you want to see. So, we are creating an algorithm. Yes, an algorithm. We are going to be running POLLS so that this algorithm is what YOU want. Also, algorithm/feed CONTROLS are coming soon.The first poll is:Would you rather similar content be grouped together, be far apart, or VERY far apart?

       @vidzy What are you planning to use for your recommendation-engine algorithm? (Assuming you have decide.)Collaborative filtering? Topic modeling? Something else?

       @vidzy now I'm not a user of vidzy, but my take is I'd want them far apart, I would find it a tad boring if I got all crochet content clumped up and then all cat content etc, I'd want it to be somewhat mixed up between the various hashtags that may fall in the "for you" feed for my scrolling.If I want to check only one or the other I'd probably click the hashtag and see a hashtag feed if available.

       @vidzy I'd really like to option to select  it.  I don't think there is a one size fits all solution.  If reading a post where I want to follow up on an idea, would appreciate the ability to quickly group.  With idle browsing, it's different.

       @vidzy What I want in an algorithm, is that it promotes posts based on *my* interests, not on what the echo chamber of "everyone else" (ie popularity) is interested in.Finding what I'm interested in is a unique challenge. You can ask for hashtags, or scan my profile and or posts on either Vidzy or other social platforms.What I *hate* is splitting users into two castes: people who are popular because they were promoted for already being popular, and everyone else being silenced.#Fediverse
