@stfn I have the same exact set. It gets the amatorish job done but my first attempt was hard mode - outdoor cat6. Never again.

@stfn Pretty sure the grey unknown tool is a punch-down tool for connecting cable to the insulation-displacement connectors on the back of “RJ45” sockets.

@mmeier it is cheaper, yes, and you can make cables with the exact length that you need :)
