@SNEK It's been over 10 years, but you need the song of storms and the boomerang. There is a tree outside of Hyrule castle that is in the corner close to where you wake up malon's father. Play song of storms to reveal a hidden hole. Kill the skultula. When you throw the boomerang to collect the token, quickly step into the light just as the boomerang returns. The game will give you a token, but thinks you left it behind, respawning the gold skultula indefinitely.

This works better than you would think because it assumes the player played the Dampe minigame, which why wouldn't they? At they very least the player should've seen Dampe skulking around and notice that he's pretty slow.So the contrast here is neat. He's a ghost and way faster than link.

I've heard it said that some of the time travel plot points don't work perfectly in this game. I sort of agree since this is a closed time loop.But then if it is so, shouldn't the magic beans/plants also work that way?Regardless of how well it works within the mechanics of time travel. The way you learn the Song of Storms is neat.

The Gold Spider exploit works! Dunno if I have the patience to sit there and do it 40 more times though Anyway. Of all the Best Girl contenders in this game, Saria and Malon put on a valiant effort. Strong show for both despite their super brief appearance.From this point you can do either Water or Fire temple. Well really you could do either once you got the hookshot. I'll do it in the intended order and tackle Fire temple first.
