@swaggboi mine has been neglected for the past few months, admittedly. It still started on the first pull. Champion makes a good rugged machine in my experience.

@prettygood I just drained the carb bowl after break-in and changed the oil. Mine’s a 599cc thumper like an old air cooled dirt bike

@swaggboi when I don't expect mine to be run for a while, I just close the fuel valve and let the engine drain the bowl for me. Not sure what engine mine has, but its a 3.6kW job. Enough to keep my sump pumps working and refrigerator on, plus some overhead for basic cooking.
