@TheNovemberMan To the extent states must make use of violence, I have no envy for those at the tip of the spear. There is a reason it is called “service” not just “a military job.” But, the US military isn’t a force one can regard uncritically. War scars the soul when pure and just— worse happens when it is neither. Never mind it’s mostly working class teens feed to the beast. They get all the best going in and are forgotten when their bodies are used up and broken.
