       Sometimes I'll read along to Lovecraft while listening to an old book on tape recording because I like some of the old narrators and the vibe they give to the material, but I don't think I've ever listened to an audiobook without simultaneously reading along to a physical copy of the book. When I was a kid I used to read "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" along to the audio cassette so it's more of a nostalgia type thing I do with horror sometimes. Just listening to the audio is definitely not reading lol.

       No, audiobooks are not reading. It's literally being read a story. Your brain internalizes things differently from when you read them versus how you hear them. Sick of all these people "playing" at "being an adult."
