       I scraped a copy of Fallout 76 out of the bargain bin for $8. Thought I'd load it up today.  3 hours later it's at 20.5% and says it still has 7 hours 21 minutes to complete  updates.I'm old enough to remember when you'd slap the cartridge in the deck and turn the power on.Why do we tolerate this shit?

       I installed FO76, played it for about ten hours, then uninstalled it and went back to FO4.Your mileage may vary.

       3 and NV kept me going for a while. 4 was meh.  None of the factions were appealing and the "story" was not compelling.I read 76 had a shitton of bugs on release, making it unplayable by many opinions, thus the waiting. Hopefully all the updates clear the bugs. But... 10+ hours loading is really not a good sign.

       I sided with The Institute in 4 (only because blood comes first.) BoS is my personal favorite faction in the entire series though- fascists fighting to preserve and leverage advanced technology from a lost world. NV was probably the best game I’ve ever played- loved it and still do. I united NCR and BoS on each playthrough. I tend to just replay games the exact same way every time in order to get the same preferred outcomes.

       I've played every faction to the end.I really, really hate the Railroad.I prefer the Minutemen, so I got a mod to have Preston leave me alone.
