       there is no real consensus about resume content, ordering, formatting, etc which I find quite irritating because everyone has biases in this respect and you *will* be rejected over dumb shit if your resume gets in front of the wrong person. and I don't mean because you made wacky choices to try to stand out, I mean you used the wrong kind of bullet pointbut then on the other hand when people do settle on a format that seems good (perhaps one they got from a popular website focused on their field) you get these assholes saying "THEIR RESUMES ALL LOOK THE SAME I'M THROWING THEM ALL IN THE GARBAGE"this is such an incredibly stupid and petty problem and yet it is a real one

       You somehow have to both appease the hags in HR and then also the people who actually matter that'll look over your resume, and they probably aren't looking for the same thing.

       Most large companies run all resumes through a keyword filter  Just look at the post and use all the keywords in the post. Your resume looking like a Jackson pollack might even be a plus as the HR hags will figure they can low-ball you
