       macOS users who have large photo libraries: do you have a recommendation for a photo deduplication program that will run on Monterey/12.x? i've got a collection of 40k+ photos that needs massive deduplication, and I cannot upgrade this production machine to a newer version of macos (which has dedupe built-in to Photos)#macos

       @vga256 have you considered using the photos app on an updated Mac or iPhone to do the thing you want? I assume iCloud Photos is still supported on your billion year old OS

       @prettygood @vga256 I honestly have never tried that for similar photos, only for exact duplicates on Linux. It’s fine, but half the time I’d rather use rmlint and a text editor to edit commands for the detected files.

       @josephholsten @vga256 I had to adjust some of czkawka settings to get good detection on anime arts. Like I had to lower the threshold for matching because it wouldn't pick up, say, two images that differed only in color palette or a small edit.
