       @WebPal its not? It has its origin in the greek churches. If you're saying literally "x"mas yeah that's cringe but the written form of that is almost like 1000 years old at this point.

       @namvoo it can be considered shorthand as well but its contemporary use is certainly what i said and should be avoided. it serves no purpose and is like writing k instead of ok or okay. its passive aggressive in the modern context which is the only one which matters right now in the current and i see no reason attempting to conserve it

       @WebPal in english speaking countries i suppose but the greeks and italians literally still do this as shorthand for their languages today and make no mistake as to what they're verbally saying. You're clearly just mad at some protestants or evangelicals just being cringe as usual
