I may not understand why God chooses to allow what He does, but I take solace in the fact that He is sovereign. Roasting an absolutely delicious-smelling prime rib for my family as my gift to them, and I'm about to start on the garlic mashed potatoes. God is good, Merry Christmas!

@graf @AntelopeHill This was probably the first year that I felt better giving a gift than receiving one. A few months back I bought my dad something kinda goofy expecting it to be a gag gift and nothing more, but he ended up liking it more than anything else given/received that day. It's been a rough season unfortunately so it felt good to ease that a little bit.

Bought myself a bottle of decent bourbon and making myself a nice steak for dinner. @graf @AntelopeHill Had a great Christmas. Got lots of stuff I need for the new house (a better ladder especially so I no longer risk severe injury when cleaning the gutters). Drank a bit too much and then my parents' hot tub sprung a leak, so we got to spend time emptying it out before any water can freeze. All in all a great day. Merry Christmas, chat.

Well, I didn't do much today. I spent Christmas alone.Despite this, I'll be 30 days clean come the New Year from my addiction, so suffering through the lonely void is okay. Even if feeling my own emotions is absolute Hell.My coworker's Mom cried when I gave her the gift basket, and her daughter was ecstatic over her hoodie.

Most of my family has moved and scattered all over the place but we did a small dinner get together with some of my aunts and uncle last weekend. Someone gifted my aunt this game and we all played it. At first I thought it'd be lame but it was very funny watching my older family having to read out cards about cum guzzling and what not. And yes I crushed them all.
