       @Ree @vriska @CathyTuttle i'm just joking around, i had a really bad bike crash when i was about 10 - improperly secured helmet, cracked in half on first impact, second impact was just my skull. Extreme brain damage, had to drain my skull and stuff, still have a visible scar from it.

       @vriska @lucy @CathyTuttle There's is a debate ongoing re wearing helmets on bikes in NL, but you have to realize that it's in the context of above. Major roads in cities have separated bike paths, most traffic lights have special lights for bikes and most smaller roads have bike lanes.As a general rule, cars can go 50kmh only if there's a designated bike path or bike lane. Otherwise it's 30.Bikes and cars hardly interact.Yes, helmets reduce injuries, but a lot less than in other countries.
