Any method that makes one package for all distros suffers from the inability to use shared libraries, and is therefore memory inefficient. I know it's a pain for developers to have to compile more than once but in the interest of efficiency it is warranted and solutions like flatpak and snap suck, snap especially in the way it pollutes your entire file system with crap all over the place, creates a mount point for each application, just pisses resources and opens up a billion places for things to break.

@itsfoss Deb then Flatpak. I love tue simplicity of Flatpaks, but Debs are smaller due to more being shared... but who hasn't got the space nowadays?

@eitch @itsfoss It's not disk space so much as it is RAM.

If I can't get it in a native package, I will build it.
