I'm so happy to see the big influx of donations to KDE. More than 75 000€ in the last 30 days with 35 000€ in the past 48 hours. This is huge. Thank you to everyone who donated!

@carl WARNING RANT:Now if they use all that money to make KDE not crash with just looking at it.I have been testing KDE for 15 years now, almost every single release, and all I do is try to customize it, after a bit of time making changes (because the defaults are plain bad for me) it either crashes or gets to a state from where it can't recover but deleting everything and starting from scratch. (not to mention it has sooooo many options it takes a long time to find the setting you are after)And at that moment I go back to XFCE, every single version of KDE is the same. And note: Gnome is not that better either, it crashes on start on my computer since Arch upgraded to Gnome 47 (46 ran fine if Gnome can be called that) I haven't bothered to even attempt to fix it. Why bother. This is the sad reality of Linux DE's for me. But I'm happy, I like XFCE.

@charliebrownau @carl Microsoft, that is what they do, they don't do anything else but sabotage.Redhat, since IBM bought them they enjoy shooting themselves in the feet.Gnome and the disasters they engender do not require further explanation other than they have done as much damage as Nvidia for the last 20 years. They set the Linux desktop back 10 years with that ridiculous caricature of a desktop thing called Gnome3.Pipewire works a treat, I have no clue why people complain about it, it just works and works well. It has had the odd bug here and there, but all fixed in no time.Wayland will get there, it is a protocol, nothing in it is inherently un-fixable, the design is not perfect but it is solid, for the time being I'm X11 save for when I need waydroid.Systemd, Freedesktop, Network Manager, I have no problem with any of those, I welcome the standardization they bring. And I say this even after being bitten hard with a Systemd bug.

@charliebrownau @carl CSD, the state of GTK and anything Gnome related is the work of the devil, I have no doubts about that, and I think there is the combination of two factors, MS' hand and mentally ill trannies. If the work of Daniel Van Vugt hadn't proved it enough already, the failure of Gnome as a software project became painful the moment Valve chose KDE as their desktop for what it is fundamentally a device with a touch screen. Gnome's nigger trannies should suicide themselves and doing us all a favour.I have no problem with Freedesktop's standards, I'm at a loss here can you point to a problem?Pipewire: Once again, I do not understand what the problem with it is, it superseded Pulseaudio and brought in jack support unifying the Linux audio stack, if you are upset about the portal side of things, that is a separate story. If your complain is because you do not want an audio service, just use Alsa directly, nothing stops you. In my case I love the flexibility it provides. That (((MS))) is pure globo-kikery is a well known fact, I have never ever given them a single penny and I intend to stay that way I have despised them for as long as I became aware of them.
