The nice thing about mouse pads is they're all made of neoprene which my skin can't handle, but you can find non-neoprene ones by searching "cloth mousepads" and you'll get ones that have neoprene in them but like, slightly less.

@foone there are some that are more plastic on the top. My WoW mousepad has a hard plastic top layer for example. I prefer them over the neoprene of my desk mat, but there’s not much room right now for a mouse pad with my current mess.

@foone Never considered that as a reason for aluminum mouse pads before.

@foone My minimalist WowPad is nothing more than a textured sheet of plastic with some stick on the bottom, no neoprene.

@foone when I was a kid, my dad bought our first mouse and it came with a hard but ever so slightly squishy mouse mat. I have always longed for one like that. Which has just got my brain thinking… I wonder if a cutting pad would work.

@foone Would gluing a cromulent fabric on top of the mousing surface help, or is it also a “my wrist rubs on the neoprene edge and I have a reaction” kind of thing?
