@stux it makes economical sense, as taxing rich more means more money goes back into economy and is not hoarded. It just makes sense.Of course, people who hoard wealth is complete opposite. But not sure they should one completely deciding on that.

@stux The thing I always find very strange is when people say there should be lower taxes...Where are you going to get the money from to pay for what I'd say is "basic infrastructure" - roads being one. People moan about how bad roads can be, but then bemoan paying to fund them.Magic fairies don't go round repairing the roads and resurfacing them for no cost! :blobcat_giggle:I've been sharing this picture recently, because it pretty much sums up my thoughts about taxation:

@stux The rich are where the money is. Most of them were born rich, they'll die leaving behind rich kids. Too many people think we're all dependent on the rich to make jobs for us, like we're sharecroppers working for the guy in the big house..

@stux Currently, paying taxes just sucks because where does it go? The agribusiness sector, fossil fuel, healthcare cowboys, consulting firm this and consulting firm that, etc....

@stux You know the rich have the financial mobility to pass the costs onto you and me. If you have a business, taxes are part of the production costs, and the money to pay the taxes has to come from somewhere, mainly by pushing a cheaper product or increasing the price, both of which make life worse and more expensive for people like you and me.
