I've recently heard that americans never return to any country where they got their teeth punched in.Upon inspection of their history, this affirmation is quite correct.Once the americans are crushed in a country, they never again send their military there. It doesn't even have to be a defeat in a large war.This is so strictly enforced, it's de facto a part of the american ideology, their religion.My take?It's due to the fact that the american culture is almost entirely artificial, created in hollywood. The americans see themselves, believe themselves to be, the gritty, victorious heroes depicted in hollywood productions.Confronting defeat is too much for them. The cognitive dissonance is too much.So they work hard not to come face to face with the reality of their many defeats.

@thefinn The houthi hypersonic tech is most likely iranian.But, it's true everyone seems to have figgured out hypersonics, missiles maneuvering at march 5 through the atmosphere. With the russiands going to march 20 and above.Except the americans. And not for lack of trying, with them spending 10s of billions $ in research.I noticed there are very few american innovations, these days. And when you look at that came in the 20st century, 'american' innovations, more often than not, can be traced back to scientists imported from Europe after WW2, and from Japan in the 80s.

@Edit_XYZ It's a worry. A lack of innovation.My belief for the Chinese - is their culture got in the way of innovation. They have a culture there where they have been oppressed by regimes for literally thousands of years.We've now taken on a culture where we're suppressing white men and they aren't getting university degrees anymore, not getting the jobs they should be in anymore.Same outcome.

@thefinn @Edit_XYZ During the early ISIS days 10+ years ago, the IRGC spent a lot of time training various militia and breakaway groups because the US Gov funded "extremist groups" were a threat to everyone. They also taught a fair amount about missile development during the training.

Not with anything like the speed it advanced until the 1940s.Nowadays, most tech advances come from China, and Russia with regards to military tech.Americans never did much for scientific and technological advancement.

He has no innovative spirit in him but the government he works for loves him because he does precisely what he is told and does it very well.
