Ordered a #FrameworkLaptop over the weekend -- a bit more than I'd like to spend but excited for it to get here.So excited that I've been refreshing the tracking info every 5 minutes for the last several days, lol. Arrives tomorrow. The big question is: what #Linux distro do I want to install?!?!?!?

@NearerAndFarther First experience with GNU/Linux? Linux Mint is one of the best for that. Experienced? Arch or Arco Linux.

@alejandrobdn Not completely new but haven't done much experimenting. Have mostly worked in Xubuntu. Not sure I'm ready for Arch yet, but who knows, I'm feeling adventurous...

@NearerAndFarther So, consider my first recommendation. You need confidence (and even boredom with your current distro) before jumping into something that requires a little (not a lot) more knowledge. Oh, and take notes on everything you learn. We are not machines and over time we forget even the most trivial tasks ;)
