#photography #filmphotography #retrobosakRoll 196768rj4, cont.: Highlander office, UC Riverside (May 1968)Shots around the office to finish off this roll. One: Bill Rouson. Bill was the office janitor and very much the professional cleaning guy, employing at this time 43 people. We had become friends in 1967 (I pretty much lived in the darkroom that year). Here he's studying to enroll at UCR himself -- which he did, continuing to employ five other students while he completed a degree.

Two: Bruce Henderson. Bruce had been managing editor of the paper; here he's running for a seat on student council (which he won). The following year he was on staff as one of the paper's best photographers, and he went on to a long career in newspaper work as both editor and photographer. Here's his web site:https://www.bdh-photo.com/It doesn't appear to have been updated since 2021; I fear the worst.

Four: A student newspaper illustrator. The bottles on the right hold ink, and the tape was used in "pasting up" artwork.

@sullybiker Thanks for giving me a reason to! Being able to show stuff (most of which no one has ever seen before) to an actual audience is really encouraging.

@sullybiker btw "no one has ever seen before" includes by me. I never saw more than 1 percent of what I'm showing here in a form other than a postage-stamp sized image on a proof sheet until I started scanning the negatives.
