oh nice! it turns out Windows set up openssh so that if your account is a member of Administrators, the userprofile\.ssh\authorized_keys doesn't work.You have to put your key elsewhere

@fooneIn the first iteration all the administrators shared a single authorized keys file. Hope you trust your local admin with forest admin rights...I expect they've changed it by now though. I hope..

@foone Yes, it's "C:/ProgramData/ssh/administrators_authorized_keys". I stumbled across that, when I wrote an Ansible Playbook to deploy something on Windows Server without the clicky work for my employee.
