@johncarlosbaez In the sci-fi universe of my own writing, the US has already taken Greenland, so I was quite amused when he actually proposed it last time around.Edit: The same novel draft talks about the Artemis moon missions before they were proposed too, but I was less happy about that because now it isn't a prediction any more.

Those with money and capacity will be moving to the US, since manufacturing in the US now saves them 10%. If Greenland is left without the same folks, they will have little choice but to leave Denmark and join the US. As a bonus we keep Puerto Rico.
