@futurebird @HadasWeiss There was an SF book based on that premise a while ago. I only finished it because I was sick while traveling with nothing else to do and wondered how far the train wreck would go. It was awful.

@futurebird @HadasWeiss You betcha! In Spain "pluriempleo" ("multijob") is the situation of a person with multiple jobs. It is usually the result of having to make ends meet, and it was specially prevalent during the period after the SCW until the 60's and even then it's been a thing for a long time due to low wages.
