       Bluesky is starting to get the same issues as fedi is having with attracting new people.Someone started posting an image on Twitter with "things to do on Bluesky" etc. and I've seen reactions like"Bluesky is the Linux of social media"If they only knew 💀

       I find it kinda funny on one hand, on the other hand it's really sad that "user experience and simplicity" now means we have to make social media so simple that "explain it like I'm a 5 year old" is too complex.

       @pixel *pulling hair* if Bluesky is Linux are we… manjaro?!?(Seriously I think Bluesky might be the Mac of social media and we're the Linux, and I don't mean that a compliment to ANY of Apple, Bluesky, Mastodon, or Linux.)

       @pixel@desu.social honestly i'm pretty sure its just making excuses to cling to twitter at this point, people just don't wanna bother putting in the effort to move to a new platform no matter how easy it isit was the excuse when fedi was the thing, and now the same excuse has been recycled for bsky, its just excuses from people who can't even be bothered to try

       @delta to be honest, fedi is just more complex, or "more steps involved"the thing is, even though it might not be as complex as people make it out to be, people feel that if you have to explain stuff to them about a "clone" of the website they are on, that it's too complicated.
