@futurebird Yeah. Does your heart sink whenever someone claims, "they were predicting a new Ice Age in the 1970s"? The memetic nature of this claim is kinda depressing, because it was never a consensus among the scientific community, not even in the 1970s.Who are this ubiquitous "they", anyway? Often merely a handful of cynical hacks chasing an eye-catching headline to sell newspapers.
