So many people that I follow are saying things like "now it's time to rebuild," "now we just have to move forward and work harder."I can't. I won't. I'm too old. For my whole life it's been one step forward, 10 steps back the next election.I just don't have the energy anymore.#USPOL

@unclesam The forces we're up against are too well funded, too well organized, and everywhere. Even "the good guys," That party that people THINK are the good guys anyway takes money from the same corporate interests.Voting can't and won't fix this, and I've felt this way for a very long time.I have no idea what the solution is (I don't think there is one other than alien invasion). I've racked my brain for a decade, and got nothin.We're just fucked.

@Ricardus We need a robust Primary for the 2028 election. I know it seems unwinnable and the liberal elites don't play fair, but we NEED a populist progressive on the ticket who appeals to both sides with messaging about the issues that we all care about. Bernie could have stopped this in 2016. He had the support of the people, even if he didn't have support of the party. We need someone like AOC on the ticket, who can galvanize the people toward genuine progress.

@Ricardus AOC has said she's not going to stop fighting and she's young enough to keep going. If we're EVER going to have a female president, it not going to be someone like Hillary or Kamala, it's going to be someone like AOC or Nina Turner.The first step is ending Citizens United and getting money out of politics, which has bi-partisan support and we see that on the state level. If we can get money out of politics, that would be HUGE.

@Ricardus The arc of history bends toward justice, my friend. It might not happen in our lifetime, but we're slowly moving in the right direction. We just have to remember that on days like today. Baby steps. It's already started in Maine and other states are taking note of how they removed money from politics as a popular message (nearly 80% total with both sides on board). True progress is slow.

@unclesam I actually think about that MLK quote a lot, and frankly, I think it's wrong.Maybe he was talking on much larger timescales, like the life of our universe. But no one should have to wait that long.
