But again - if - he does it - he has gained political power, and the fault for them not being pardoned before falls on mitch.I don't know what I would have done in that situation, but its much like the thought of "what would it be like to be a general sending men to die on D-Day?"

       @sickburnbro he should immediately commute any sentences and pardon any non-violent charges from Jan 6.Then let a committee review the rest individually and make a recommendation.  I say this because the Dems have been saying it was a violent, armed insurrection.   By pardoning any non-violent charges, that immediately points out numbers as to how many even had any allegations of violence.  I think this should highlight the lie.Then you look at the ones claiming violence... pardon the bs

       @sickburnbro after pardoning all those, you might be left with a few actually violent actors (I don't know).  If so, those people probably actually do need to be punished.  But it has to be real.  And there has to be video of it... not reports from someone.  There have been too many lies all the way through to take anyone's word for anything at this point.

       @BobB the problem with a positive definition like this is then people looking to hurt J6 people will just make up new ways to charge them with things not on the list.You need to realize you are not dealing with people who are honest who are just making a few mistakes.

       @sickburnbro that's valid.  our legal system to supposed to be based on it being better to let 100 guilty people go free than to punish 1 innocent person... at least according to the same ones putting criminal trespass charges on citizens inside a public/government building.So yeah, I'd say I could be convinced to just pardon them all.  But I would still do it in 2 stages for the optics mentioned earlier.
