       @grillchen translations should be off by default, except for anime where the dub should be in german or english and sub in japanese

       @grillchen is it a real thing? Translated subtitles are actually usefull (if only they would be generated correctly,  which sometimes suck). But voice over is actually step back in evolution. I can imagine today's kids shocked to death when they realise that abroad people use different language

       @grillchen i watch it the other way around, but it should be as i described, so that the artists learn to pace anime slow enough that people could always read the subs. i hate it, when there is a fast dialog and i need to watch in lower speed to read everything

       @grillchen ugh, painful. I would say, that new youtube addon is about to kick in, but it's not a solution,  but ignoring of the problem. Lately i had to watch a lecture from German university, conducted in english. Autogenerated captions were in German. Wouldn't it be less power hungry, to just allow users to regenerate the subtitles in correct way?  Or just ask "her, language you chose for your uploaded videos is different than choosen, want to fix it?), but no, let's fuck the user
