I use the term Germanic in my posts and have seen some confusion over the definition. Mainly Germanic Faith. The Germanic peoples were tribal groups who lived in Northern Europe in Classical Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages. In modern scholarship, they typically include not only the Roman-era Germani who lived in both Germania and parts of the Roman empire, but also all Germanic speaking peoples from this era, irrespective of where they lived, most notably the Goths. It is an academic term used to describe our indo european or proto-germanic collective. It does not mean specifically German in the sense of the modern Federal Republic of Germany also known as Deutschland, Allemagne, Saksa, Niemcy or Iyášiča Makȟóčhe, depending.

@ulfr Indeed. Anglos for example are Germanic, despite how some Boomers might get rustled at the thought of Germans due to far more modern habituation.
