@Morghur Looks similar to my case.I created a map of gameworld for my FPS game i started working recently, around 9 locations. But i just used my IRL city as reference and it's empty and boring for now, besides generic buildings like factory/laboratory/military base/apartaments, etc. Because i can't into abstract level design like John Romero/Sandy Peterson/Levelord.Probably need to find one, when i gonna create a working alpha build.

Thing is that i've done a good amount of work around it. But i know it will go nowhere. After all, i never show anyone the garbage i'm working on.

@Morghur Well, it could be the main demotivator.Why doing something so grandeur if no one would be interested besides you ?You can post your work on some RPG / fantasy forum, so at least people give you feedback on your work.I would post my early build on Doom/boomer shooter community too, but only when i finish all coding groundwork, so i can find 2d/3d artist to do textures and models properly, because i can't into it and for now it's ugly blocky placeholders with poorly slapped texture like this.
