       @aral Poor wee thing. Can you turn the TV or radio up to drown out the noise a bit. We used to have to do that with our dogs on Halloween & just give them cuddles & treats. Tried of those calming sprays for them but they weren't very effective. Luckily my current cat is old & deaf so she can't hear it all. Seems like everyone around us is letting off fireworks tonight.

       @Fizzle_Up Already done (music + white noise) :) I finally looked at him and said “look, they’re thoughtless cunts but the worst of it is over” and it must’ve been my tone of voice because he laid down right afterwards and seems to be calmer now. 🤞

       @Tiempo Doubt it, our dog doesn’t bark even when terrified (he’s a half husky/malamute). But yeah, most dogs do. Not to mention folks with PTSD. We have so many Ukrainian refugees in town it’s unbelievably callous.

       @aral a local group of teens made a bonfire in the local park... Which won't scare dogs or young kids, but it's potentially more dangerous.Fireworks are almost daily from now until new year 🤷‍♀️We don't have a dog anymore, and luckily it autistic kids like them (luckily because they're going to happen anyway, and otherwise it could lead to meltdowns) but nevertheless, very insensitive.

       @aral I once had a conversation with the Belgian police who were standing on the entrance to the football stadium, which also served as the field of our youth movement. (Actually, it was the other way around but K. Lierse. SK bribed the exact right people to do whatever they wanted). In any case: picture children aged 6-18 playing together while football 'fans' were pissing on the terrain they were using. 1/

       @aral Sorry to hear. Pet Classics on Classic FM are my go to dog relaxer. I have recordings from the last couple of years and it works a treat on my dog. We will have fireworks going off most nights from now until early January. This year Classic FM’s Pet Classics are on November 2nd 6.30 pm and November 5th 6.30 pm.
