@Lydie You would be surprised how good it feels to be the master in your own home.

@GandalfDG I am also impressed. I used XFCE for years, but KDE is (now) very sophisticated and professional.

@reverend Or better, you can try Tumbleweed! the easiest and most powerful Linux distribution out there.

@karlggestd I have learned that those who want to switch are quickly overwhelmed when choosing a distro. MINT is understood by everyone, very intuitive. I would recommend it to anyone. And I have recommended KDE because I am just discovering it – I am actually an XFCE user. Once you get in, you quickly recognize the different possibilities.

@aragubas Really? Then you're a bit behind. But you can install it later with DRM_PANIC.

@blake don't think it's like that. Mint, for example, is based on Ubuntu but without snaps. It's not the most modern or coolest. But it works for all my friends who hate computers but need one. It's just flawless. And when I love stress, I just take Arch.

@reverend maybe it's my workflow, but I've been using Linux pretty much since I know computers, and it has always been like that. Advertising Linux like this can be a bit misleading if the person doesn't do anything more complicated then web browsing, but then if that's what the person does, I doubt they ever saw a bluescreen or even know what an OS isMost every day gamers will have to touch configuration files and learn a thing or another on how operating systems work to be able to operate it, specially if they try to run incompatible games with kernel level anti-cheatsI don't work with other people's computer that much anymore nor do I have any information to back this up (at least not right now), but that's the behavior I've observed in Linux support groups, and personal experience

@aragubas Sorry, I didn't mean to offend you. My “advertisement” was intended to be somewhat polemical and was not meant to be completely serious.
