       Company execs are asking my consent to survey my Japanese colleagues in my department about working with a gaijin barbarian.  I am actually okay with them learning about the mindset of these folks who have almost zero experience dealing with foreigners personally and professionally because they need to know how dire the situation is here. This should be a crisis-level situation for a company that must increase its non-Japan business share in the next 5 years..

       @shilkytouch I'd really like them to do that in my office.   I'm the office gaijin too.  Recently, I've stopped going along with everything and tried being more gaijin about things.  I also reply to Japanese emails in English sometimes too.
