@pendell @AlisonW @opensourcepledge why all?there are ppl who literally cannot access goog vids anymore because they stop access for invidious servers, thankfully most ppl i follow such platforms have a access via other means including in a few cases peertube, but what sux is they are scared to mention those other access methods on there social, their website or video, possibly because they know they will be (shadow) banned.. its honestly a bit annoying when you know someone knows about fedi/pertube and yet they don't talk about it.it might sound dumb but what successful people do, when they are at multiple locations is they tell people in EVERY single episode, twice at least, sometimes more. its not nagging, or shilling its just basic communication, cos they don't know what video and what part of a video ppl will see so they repeat the stuff for like 2 months until they are satisfied, enough people are watching from the other platform.that's the sort of thing fedizens need to do, i think we are too smart and too polite and think that others of our intelligence will be offended by the repetition. we can apologize for sounding like a broken record, but its not nagging, its just communication, and people often need to hear something from at least 3 people before they take the time to explore the alternate platform also.the legacy platforms actually do some very underhanded things for adoption too. they manipulate viewer numbers to make things looks more popular than they actually are, they onboard friends and family forceably, ie they MAKE accounts for them, they even pay people to switch to the platform which is what peter thiel's rumble does (yes in case you were wondering why there are so many rumble shills that will not talk about the paypal mafia and fawn over the thing muskrochipped says and does, THIS is largely why).so yeah mini rant over, peertube please talk about your peertube stand up and be counted.
