She had a rough upbringing and was dealing with things, but the psych drugs never seemed to do anything for her. In and out of the hospital, one crisis after another. I eventually just chalked it up to attention seeking more than anything.A few years ago she went off them completely. I don't know how many she was on but it was rough for her for several months. But eventually she got past the withdrawals or whatever these drugs give you.Completely different person. Her life became so much more peaceful. I can see it in her when I talk to her. And she's been through job loss, relationship break ups, a big move that had her starting all over again with a place to live and new friends.And she handled it all like a normal person.They made a fucking small fortune off her from all those years. The fucking psychiatrists and social workers. The nurses. The pharmaceutical companies. All the administration and support workers that go along with that.It's one huge scam on the backs of hurting people. I have nothing but contempt for ones that did this to her.

Personally, I’m more inclined to believe everyone is born with one, but there are also a number of ways someone may lose theirs. Some may be more permanent than others, but I think a sort of gradual (relative) “burying” is likely the most common.
