I just heard an announcement over the loud speaker at the airport saying that a "personal item" can be a backpack, fanny pack, purse or murse. What the hell is a "murse"? Is that a "man purse"? Why are we trying to turn English into a gendered language? The lack of gendered nouns is one of the very few things this garbage language gets right. What's next? Do we need mackpacks and wackpacks? This is stupid, and this post was very hard to type thanks to auto correct.

@m @thejikz Yes, it’s man purse. I don’t think we’re trying to turn English into a gendered language. After all a man purse looks nothing like most women’s purses. It’s just a different article altogether. But I do think it’s silly that they included it in the list.🤷🏻♀️

The list seems to be articulating different strap configurations, so backpack vs fanny pack makes sense to list, but pure & murse should be condensed into a single "cross-body satchel" list item which would conveniently also cover laptop bags, messenger bags, etc (although those items are probably what they were trying to cover with 'murse')
