Deleted the Reddit account today. Too much AI generated nonsense, too US-centric - especially with the election, mis-info everywhere. Just can't be arsed with that sorry excuse for a forum.

@ChrisWere I can’t say I do. I sometimes lurk through a lemmy.ml account. But you’re right, you don’t need a lemmy account to access lemmy instances - it’s all part of the fediverse.

@ilyess Oh yeah. I can just browse without an account, and if I want to comment, I can comment as myself, so it's kinda the ideal way to interact with it.

@ChrisWere The US-centric part really bothers me. Any vaguely general interest subreddit tends to suffer from it.The place can be vaguely useful as an information aggregator, but that's about it these days. Comments there are either bots or toxic much of the time.
