I realized that I have no clue what system would work best for Mad Max: Fury Road. Any suggestions?Paradoxically, I am thinking something heavily narrative might fit best, because I just can't think of a crunchy tactical approach that would do the fury road justice. Rolling for damage seems completely beside the point. Maneuvering, jumping and climbing, etc. is much more crucial. But kills are mostly either a vehicle exploding or being pushed off of one. No idea which system fits.#ttrpg

@dawngreeter Have you considered #Starforged (https://tomkinpress.com/pages/ironsworn-starforged)?I know it's generally thought of as being star-spanning sci-fi, but that's strictly unnecessary. As #Ironsworn before it pointed out, you can certainly use the structure to focus on ground-limited adventuring, and the question of gritty intensity is always more a question of description than dice.Seen from the perspective of characters motivated and driven by their vows, whether spoken aloud or purely internal, you can do Mad Max all day and twice on Sunday. If you want a little extra mechanical crunch for vehicles, you can easily hack on Starsmith: Mecha Mercs (https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/421157/starsmith-mecha-mercs) to punch up the detail on your combat cars.Alternately, leaning into the more narration-driven resolution systems from a different direction, I could probably run Fury Road in #Wushu (https://danielbayn.com/wushu/) right off the top of my head. The key is letting the players have narrative control to be cool and then using mechanics to simply determine how effective things are post hoc.#TTRPG

@lextenebris I have zero experience with Ironsword and Starforged. But clearly this is a gap to address. Thanks, I should be looking into this.
