@historyofpunkrock 19& out of these, Oingo Boingo was INSANELY tight & so much fun. (That one still rates as the 2nd best live show I’ve ever experienced.) Black Flag (w/ Henry) was amazing. I got to see the Plasmatics at CBGB, too, & that was amazing but scary af. Wendy O was the real deal—she was NOT playing.

@historyofpunkrock instead of all of that nonsense, I had a kid in my late teens, became a full time single parent, and raised a child solo for the next 18 years. You guy should try it instead of all of that "music" and "entertainment" people talk about.

@historyofpunkrock Only 1 point (Mudhoney @ NXNE 2010), maybe 1.5 if you count a Henry Rollins spoken word set in a Yale basement ca. 1987/88. Best concert: The Wrens in Newport, KY, 2009?Best *punk* concert: tough call, maybe Screaming Females at the First Unitarian Church, Philadelphia. Every inch of my clothes & body was covered in sweat after that show.

@historyofpunkrock its ok, it was in the past lol. My kid is 26 now. ; )I managed to get to 2 or 3 shows later, in my 30s tho. Not classic punk. I wanted to see Primus in concert more than I wanted to eat food for a few years there. My friends and I bought drugs from the same dealer that supplied the Butthole Surfers, so there is always that lmao

@historyofpunkrock I get ten. My best punk show might've been Iggy & The Stooges, I think in 2011. Not quite the original lineup and Iggy was in his sixties, but God that guy was a dynamo on stage. Also The Ramones in the early 80s.

@historyofpunkrock fuckin…one. And it was RHCP at a stadium show.I think I’m the wrong age for this chart!Best punk show…how are we counting Motörhead? They may be number one on any live band list for me.Seconded for Screaming Females. Technically my kids’ first live show too - they played Boyd Park in New Brunswick in 2014 or 2015.

@historyofpunkrock at least 21 that I can remember on that list. And there are so many bands not listed. Ahhhh childhood. I agree X and Ramones should be on the list. And prolly Exploited. Classics. Fav was prolly Joe Strummer at the troubadour right before he died tbh. Loved the Clash so much. ♥️

@historyofpunkrock 4Circle Jerks and Bad Religion were at Warped Tour so I was some distance away, but I technically saw and heard them. (Actually, when BR started I was still close to the stage from watching someone else. I planned to stay, but a tidal wave of people came my way once they came out and I had to escape, with great difficulty. It was pretty scary.)Also Fishbone and the Vandals (modern Vandals, not Peace Thru Vandalism Vandals). With the Vandals, when Warren Fitzgerald came up to the bar near us, my friend said to him (about me), "This guy is your biggest fan." I was crazy about them at the time but pretty embarrassed when he said it.Not sure what was the best punk show I've been to, as I was unfortunately very inebriated for most of them, but Fishbone and the Vandals were very good.

@historyofpunkrock Only 6 on this list - it's always been hard to get bands out here - but seen some others that should probably be on the list, including Violent Femmes (twice), Dead Milkmen, Porno for Pyros, Shonen Knife, and The Selecter (Paula Brown, OMG.) I can't remember who I saw at the Warped tour, haha.Probably the best punk show I've ever seen was Social Distortion - wild show, incredible mosh pit - followed by Dead Milkmen and Violent Femmes.

@historyofpunkrock Wasn't my "greatest" but maybe "most memorable." We saw Agnostic Front open for Squirrel Nut Zippers. The crowd was totally into Agnostic Front and that's who everyone was there to see. Zippers come on and the floor cleared out. I felt kinda bad for them, but I never liked their brand of ska much anyway.I also saw Misfits on their 2000 Halloween meltdown tour. Graves and Chud had quit the night before. It was a pretty sad show but Jerry tried really hard.

@historyofpunkrock 20 pts. 🤓 The best punk show i booked at 924 Gilman with Anal Cunt from Boston in 1993. It was the night after the "Breaking The Law" show in frisco. He had spent the night in jail and was bailed out in time for the soundcheck.

@historyofpunkrock 5 not counting repeats. It would be more but either my friends flake on me, or we get there late. I've missed the Vandals, CroMags, MDC, and Siouxsie because of that. :(Greatest punk show? It's a tough call between:--One show with two stages: right side stage had bunch of bands like The Offspring, the Vandals, NOFX, and Rancid. The other stage was a bunch of annoying post-hardcore bands and The Used.--Original Misfits tour with AFI--No Values (TSOL, The Addicts, Original Misfits, etc.)--Halloween Punk Rock covers show with local bands doing amazing covers and impersonations in a small Halloween club setting (Misfits, At the Gates, Bad Religion, etc.)
