       @carolen I’m guessing it’s some highly evolved minimum plastic (ie, cost) to maximum rigidity and resistance to twisting. Plus a ring on the end to hold. I’m impressed that you still have yours. I suspect mine will be in the bin within weeks.

       @Flick to be honest mine sits in the drain hole (there is space around it, for moisture to leave) and I jiggle it up and down in situ when I clean the fridge out, which is maybe 4 times a yearThere is often excess water in the channel that leads to the hole but it all drains awayWhere? No idea, probably the floor under the condenser 😂
