       @codinghorror There was a song  first sung by Gwen McCrae in 1972 , then Elvis and Willie Nelson covered it.Then years later, the Pet Shop Boys did another very different cover, turning it from a dull crooner to something pop. I've only heard the PSB and the Elvis version but I imagine the PSB version is still different to McCrae's original.I'm referring to "(You Were) Always on my Mind".
